A SUSTAINABLE, LASTING CHOICE.
Wood is the only naturally renewable building product on the market. More trees are planted each year than are used as lumber—our forests are actually larger and in better shape than they were a century ago.1 Furthermore, because Perennial Wood is made to last longer, the wood needs to be replaced less often, resulting in less material disposal over the long term.
GREEN AFFILIATIONS.
Perennial Wood of Eastman is a proud member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) as well as the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Leading Suppliers Council —groups with a commitment to environmentally and socially conscious building.
In April 2013, Perennial Wood was named a Green Certified Product by Home Innovation Research Labs, formerly the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Research Center. This distinction means that projects incorporating Perennial Wood can earn points toward certification under the National Green Building Standard™. To become a Green Certified Product, Perennial Wood was evaluated by the Home Innovation Research Lab for meeting National Green Building certification criteria. The National Green Building Standard uses the Green Scoring Tool to award points for design, preparation, development, efficiency and environmental quality. Perennial Wood products are listed under the manufacturer’s name – Eastman Chemical Company – and can be found at http://www.GreenApprovedProducts.org.
